Excess body flab and fat is no fun. It's hard to get rid of, and doesn't look all too great. It's also a swift kick to the ego, but that's not going to be a problem for you much longer.
Most body fat forms around the stomach area, but your body stores fat all over the place. Burning flab away will show muscles a lot more, and will make your body not look as if it's made of jello.
Problem is, many people think that they can cut away stomach flab by doing a million sit-ups and crunches, then get disappointed with the results and give up on the whole thing. That's the wrong way to go about it!
It's actually a three-part process:
1. Muscle building exercise
Muscles burn calories just by being there, so more muscle means more calories burned, which means less fat.
2. Diet
To burn flab, you need to burn more calories than you consume. If you're eating cheeseburgers all the time, it's probably time to switch to something a bit healthier. This does not mean that you have to go on a strict diet, just that, when possible, you should swap out healthier foods for your usual diet.
3. Cardio Exercise
Want to burn more calories? Get some cardio exercise in. Get your heart rate up, and your body burns a lot more calories. You'll also get a nice endorphin rush from the whole thing, which'll make you feel a heck of a lot better. Cardio boosts your metabolism, so you can be a bit more lax with the diet thing (because, hey, steak is delicious!)
