Another restaurant in Japan, particularly near Mt. Fuji is the Hoto Fudo noodle restaurant which implements an igloo theme. The design of the restaurant is derived from soft geometry. It has a curved and shatterproof shell with openings that makes for proper air circulation to the infrastructure. This design of the concrete shell also accounts for rain to fall at the edges of the interior.

Airplane Diners (specifically found in Korea) are restaurants in an abandoned jumbo jet like a Boeing 747. The dining area is actually the hull part of the plane which is converted to accommodate the diners. These airplane diners are mostly located between apartments and building in downtown areas. The cockpits of these airplanes are transformed into VIP areas where diners can eat in private.

Fast foods are too abundant which is why most of them, especially the new franchised places are building their restaurants with a completely different ambiance like the McDonalds Drive-in restaurant in Maribor, Slovenia that implements a sleek layout as an effort to reformulate the existing typology of the fast food.

Now who would not be interested to eat inside a psychedelic museum eatery? In New York City's Museum of Arts and Design, is the Robert restaurant located on the ninth floor of the building.
